FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

Everything brands ask us before a walkthrough, in one place.

The basics

What is Statixx?

Statixx is an AI product photography platform for apparel brands, operated by Sum Digital. From one photo of a garment, or a product pulled from your Shopify catalog, it generates a complete, consistent photoshoot: on-model images from every angle, plus flat lays and ghost mannequin shots. Every image is checked against the real product by an automated fidelity audit and reviewed by a person before it ships.

Who is Statixx for?

Apparel brands that need more product photography than their shoot budget allows: women’s and men’s apparel, swim, footwear, and accessories. It fits best when the catalog is large, colorways multiply, new SKUs launch often, or product pages go live with too few images.

What do I need to get started?

A clear photo of each garment, or access to your Shopify catalog. Extra angles and close-ups of details like closures, prints, and trims make the fidelity audit sharper. Products that are not in Shopify can be uploaded directly.

What kinds of images can Statixx make?

On-model images from front, back, three-quarter, detail, and full-length angles; layered looks with more than one garment; flat lays; ghost mannequin images; and product-scene statics. Output comes in the crops brands actually use: 4:5, 9:16, 16:9, and square, at up to 4K.

How fast is it?

A consistent, audited multi-image set takes minutes, not a production calendar. Onboarding takes longer, because each brand’s pipeline, model roster, and rules are built before the first image reaches you.

Does Statixx replace photoshoots?

It makes the shoot optional. Brands use Statixx for product pages, colorways, new SKUs, and ongoing content, where a traditional shoot is slow and expensive. Some still book a shoot for a flagship campaign. The point is that photography stops being the bottleneck.

How is Statixx different from other AI product photography tools?

Four things. It holds one model, garment, and set consistent across a whole spread instead of generating one image at a time. It audits every image against the real product and shows you the report. Each brand gets its own exclusive model roster. And your logo is composited from your file, never redrawn by AI. It is also a managed service: Sum Digital builds and operates the pipeline for you. The full comparison, with evidence, is at statixx.ai/compare.

Does Statixx make video?

Not yet. Statixx produces still images today. Our comparison page lists video as the one capability where competitors lead.

Quality and fidelity

How consistent is a spread, really?

Consistent enough to publish as one shoot. The same model, garment, lighting, and setting hold across every frame: front, back, three-quarter, detail, full-length. Each frame passes a multi-point vision audit for garment, model, and scene fidelity before it reaches you, and failures regenerate automatically.

What does the fidelity audit actually check?

Every render is compared against your real product references: closures and hardware, prints and patterns, exact color, construction details like seams and sleeve shape, plus model anatomy and scene rules. Multi-garment looks are audited per garment, on every angle. The full report, every check, score, and retry, is visible in the app for every image.

What happens when an image does not match the garment?

It never reaches you. An image that fails any check regenerates automatically until it passes, and every retry is recorded in the image’s Fidelity Report. Images that pass are then reviewed by a person.

Is the fidelity audit perfect?

No automated check is. The audit is a vision model comparing each image against your product references, which is why a person reviews what passes. When something slips through, your feedback becomes a permanent rule in your brand’s pipeline, so the same mistake is checked for on every image after it.

Can I edit an image after it is generated?

Yes. You can request targeted edits to a generated image in the app instead of regenerating the whole thing.

Models and brand

Are the models real people?

By default, no. Each brand gets a roster of AI-generated models with locked face structure, eye color, and body descriptors, so the same person appears in every image. You can also build your roster from real faces, with licensing in place.

Can other brands use my models?

No. Rosters are exclusive, and strict per-brand isolation means your models, scenes, and brand rules never appear in anyone else’s imagery.

How does Statixx handle my brand’s aesthetic?

Each brand gets its own pipeline: a custom model roster, brand fonts, photography style presets, and validation rules tuned to your category. We tune the generation stack to your look before you ever see output. The result is not "AI-ish." It is your brand.

Will my logo come out right?

Yes. Generative models redraw and mangle brand marks, so Statixx does not let them. Your actual logo file is composited onto the image with an in-app placer, and the mark that ships is pixel-identical to the file you provided.

Workflow and integration

How does it integrate with my Shopify store?

A daily sync reads your live products, variants, drafts, and imagery. No exports, no CSVs, no stale catalogs. New SKUs are enriched automatically with the color, construction, and reference data that feeds both generation and the fidelity audit.

What if my products are not on Shopify?

Upload product photos directly. Custom uploads get the same enrichment and the same fidelity audit as catalog products.

Is Statixx self-serve?

Your team uses the Statixx app directly to generate images. Behind the app, Sum Digital builds and operates a pipeline around your catalog, models, and brand standards, handles catalog-scale batch runs, and reviews output. It is software with a production team behind it.

Rights, ads, and pricing

Do I own the images? Can I use my own model references?

You receive full commercial usage rights to every image we deliver: use them anywhere you would use your own photography, with no per-placement licensing. We say usage rights rather than copyright on purpose, because US copyright law does not currently protect purely AI-generated material, whoever made it. Your agreement sets out the specifics.

And yes: bring real faces (with licensing in place), moodboard references, or casting shots and we will build them into your roster. Or start from scratch and dial in the look. Either way the roster is exclusive to your brand.

Can I run Statixx imagery in paid ads?

Yes, in human-free formats. For paid placements, Statixx generates flat lays, ghost mannequin shots, and product-scene statics. On-model imagery is built for your owned surfaces: product pages, email, organic social, and lookbooks.

That split is deliberate. Regulation around AI-generated humans in advertising is moving fast (New York’s synthetic-performer disclosure law took effect in June 2026), and Statixx is built for that landscape: we never put AI-generated humans in your ad creative.

What does pricing look like?

Pricing is per-brand and depends on volume and the level of pipeline customization. Most brands scope it against their seasonal photoshoot budget, typically $10K to $50K per shoot, rather than against another software subscription. Book a walkthrough and we will scope it to your catalog.
